Bohemian Girl Baby Dress With Beanie

I designed this ruffled bohemian girl baby dress with beanie. In first part, I will be showing you how to make dress. In second part I'll show you how to make a simple beanie with a strap to tie. This set is for size 0-6 months.

Row 1: dc from 2nd ch from the hook. dc on every stitch

Row 2: ch1, turn your work, dc in each stitch

Row 3: ch1, turn your work, *2dc in one stitch (forms V), 1dc in next stitch* - rep. Join both the ends ( join with 1st dc of the row ) and make sl st

Row 4: ch1, turn, *1dc in first st (first st - where you made sl st), 3dc(s) in between V, 1dc in next st*- rep, sl st and join

Row 5: ch1, turn, *1dc in first st , 4dc(s) on 2nd st of previous row, 1dc on previous row dc* - rep, sl st and join

Row 6: ch1, turn, *1dc in first st , 5dc(s) in between 2nd and 3rd st of previous row, 1dc on previous row dc* - rep, sl st and join

For arm hole:

Row 7: ch1, turn, *dc together two st(s), dc(s) on next 4 st(s)* - rep 4 times, skip 30 st(s) , * _ * rep 8 times, skip 30 st(s), * _ * rep 4 times, sl st and join

Row 17: Rep row 16 as much as your baby height

For Ruffles:

➢ sl knot, attach new yarn in row 8

➢ Attach on skipped st – ch2 (will be your 1st dc) and 1 dc on same st, *2dc(s) on each skipped st* (forms V), sl st and join

➢ ch1, *Work on V – 1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1,1dc --- forms Shell, 1sc in next gap before V* - rep

➢ Weave in all the ends

➢ 2 grids is used for 1 ruffle

Bohemian Girl Baby Beanie – PART-2

ch5, sl st in 1st ch and you will get a ring

Row 1: 12dc in ring, sl st in 1st dc to join

Row 2: ch1, *2dc in 1st st, 1dc in next st* - rep, sl st in 1st dc to join

Row 3: ch1, *2dc in 1st st, 1dc in next st, 1dc in next st* - rep, sl st in 1st dc to join

Row 4: ch1, *2dc in 1st st, 1dc in next st, 1dc in next st, 1dc in next st* - rep, sl st in 1st dc to join

Row 5: ch1, *dc in each st*- rep Repeat row 5 until you get desired beanie height

Row 6: sl st in each st (form rimming)

For tying strap: ch31, sc in each ch, sl st and join

Notes:

✓ For size 0-6 months use 4mm crochet hook

✓ For size 6-12 months use 6mm crochet hook

✓ Attach pom-pom if you like

✓ You can adjust the height of the dress and beanie to any level
